I have heard that raw nuts are good for you but roasted nuts have bad fats in them. Was the person who told me this correct?

Not sure why roasted nuts would have a huge difference over raw in their fat content. Burned nuts I could see, but properly cooked ones shouldn't make that big of a difference.

Are you talking about roasted nuts that are sold in bags, commercial style? I If so, it may well be the oil added to the nuts that the person is referring to; it may or may not be bad fat but either way it adds more fat to the product and they normally have added salt as well.
