If you drop your calories in a cut (especially in the range in which you specify:1400c), and your pointing most of focus within the limited calories toward Protein (Fat), and when you were running MT (+) and normal macros for a considerable dietary trend prior--to the cut, than the water loss is to be expected when carbohydrates drop some in a deficit.
A considerable drop in carbohydrate consumption (alone) can cause water loss and when you add in weight training which is predisposed (under these really new and early conditions) to using carbohydrate pathways for fuel (especially from storage from liver, etc, when personal dietary consumption is low), this just add in the overall equation for water loss. Pretty basic. Like wise, the lower the target deficit, the more difficult it is to consume the macros one needs in a cut. Most experienced dieters, point to Protein and fats, in severe deficit dieting situations (which I consider anything under 1200 calories--pointing to averages), which in turn creates a carbohydrate shortage, and forces to the body to reduce/deplete glucose storage, which reduces water retention in the short term, and in some cases long term....personally dependent.

I was going to do carb cycling but going to do a re-feed day cycle instead. Yes people don't realize just with the foods you pick your macro's can change up to 10 grams for the same Calorie count. This is why I personally feel tracking macro's is more accurate than counting Cals.

Well just a update:
BTW the LBM will change just from the fact that the leaner you get the more accurate a pinch test is. March 30th, 163.0 lbs.

Re-feed/cheet day yestarday. (30th) B/W: 165.0 This morning and this to be expected and right on target. I always weigh myself first thing in morning after rest room duties. So the 163 yesterday was in morning before the feedings.

163.4 OK off weight due to delt. NO cardio. So for the next 2 weeks weight loss will be ALL nutrition and AAEFX's NEW formula Lean Fix. I'm not changing my macro's just adjusting what I eat and when. 190 pro, 114 carb, 34 fat. Only this week and next, left so no more re-feed/cheat days. *NOTE: Other than knowing my body, other macro's adjusting conditions. 1. I am 46 years old. 2. I'm very sedentary. Couch potato when I'm not working out. 3. Arm's only burn 1/3 the cals that legs do. Not sure what going to happen getting my tooth pulled tonight. All I do know is I will hit my macro's. I have plenty of Whey and Karbolyn (made from rice,corn, potato's) on hand. lol

I used there old version and liked it. I started the new version a few days ago and LOVE it. We will see with the true test being off weights and cardio how it works.

New low. B/W= 162.8 I did hit my macro's even with the tooth pulling. Threw protein power (NF Pro), fish oil and Karbolyn ( rice, corn and potato ) Macro's are still 190 pro, 114 carb, 34 fat. No weights, no cardio. Just meal timing and AAEFX's Lean Fix.
