Default Can supplements of any kind mess with your growth?

I am a 16 year old who is getting into lifting. Can talking supplements of any kind stunt my growth? If so which ones do I need to avoid?

To my knowledge unless you are playing with something off the black market...none that you buy in the stores will bother your growth. At your age, you shouldnt need any supplements really, just eat, lift, and sleep

I am of the opinion that anything hormonal can have an impact, rather direct or indirect on your growth.

I am not a powerlifter nor am I a bodybuilder. I just want to be big and strong.

Prohormones could close your growth plates.
Just stick to the basic supplements man.
Protein, creatine, and a muti.

They can stunt your growth as an economic entity .

In other words, they will cost you money which could be better spent on something else.

I can't think of a supplement that would stunt your growth. It's more a case that if your diet is reasonable, they're not really of much benefit, particularly at your age.

That's a possibility, I had forgotten about pro-hormones.

In my opinion: You are still in the natural growth stage, and one leaves this alone and let the body mature and grow. Protein powder and fats (like Fish oil, fiber) are fine. Other than this I would suggest to eat well and train (progressively), and let it go at that for now.

Best wishes
