Almonds are at the top of my list. They satisfy my cravings for salty. I also love pickles and salted apples.
If your going to eat the calories, better off removing progressed foods and the white poisons. Granola bars generally contain extra sugar, correct me if I am wrong.

Fruit - not quite.
Veggies - not if they're not cooked in butter or oils. Nuts - calories can add up fast if you're not careful. Those bars - watch for calorie and sugar content. Some of them are calorically dense and offer little in return, in terms of macro/micronutrients. Worried about the fat in nuts? Nope. They're healthy fats. The only fats you really need to concern yourself with is trans fat. And I wouldn't go balls to the walls on saturated fats, but there's a long story behind why they aren't so bad, but have potential. And if you didn't know, there are several different kind of fats. If you didn't know that, then I recommend finding out what they are and what the difference is.

I'd ditch the granola bars though, on the sugar alone.

Fruit smoothies with whey in them are pretty much my favorite afternoon snack. Grilled chicken legs are hard to beat if you're just walking past the fridge and need something easy.

A snack, IMO, is just another word for food but I think they mean less food than you would have at a meal...I know, that was a rhetorical question
