My wife bought some "All Natural Veggie Chips" the other day. I compared the nutritional information on the back with the nutritional information on a bag of BBQ Potato Chips. They were exactly the same except the Veggie Chips had more Sodium. So much for "health food"
![]() Unless you're on a cut/diet, I say go ahead and eat them with peanut butter slathered on them. Then chase them down with a liter of milk. I love bulking

Hi Polak,
Corn is often considered the most unhealthy of grains. In small quantities they certainly aren't the worst thing for you, but if given a choice I would rather see you eat a rice cake and avoid anything that was corn heavy. Either way both will help you while bulking.

I will add more as I can. I don't have time now to dig into the books I have read on the subject, but most sources in my experience list corn as the worst grain. I listed a few snippets on the topic to get the ball rolling. Outside of corn syrup and corn oil, which we pretty much all agree are not quality food choices, corn itself it hard to break down and digest. To paraphrase Robb Wolf: Quote:

I have heard the same things about corn. I don't make a habit of eating it, but a well buttered cob sure does go nicely with a Big 'ol T-Bone.

Well, when it comes to grains if I rely on anything it's quinoa.
But, if you're going to eat processed foods it's almost impossible to avoid the wrath of corn. Which makes a pretty strong argument for avoiding processed foods. I think a moderate grain diet low in processed foods and corn products is light years ahead of the alternative, and probably only a hair away from being just as healthy as Paleo. That's just my opinion though.
