If it is a question of convenience, use whatever is available, like Carl does.

If you're wondering about benefit to muscle building, Milk would be my choice for the added calories.

If you are cutting and not counting the calories in milk in your whey protein shake and wondering why the scale isn't moving.....welll DUH! LOL

I went through a phase of water with my whey but now I am focusing on strength, it would be daft to leave out the milk.
