Saturated fat is not the demon it has been made out to be by the political agenda of a few people in power.
I've was having a conversation with a friend recently where I put forth the idea that the lower the caloric intake in your diet, the higher the fat content should be in your daily PCF ratio. Sacrifice carbs in your diet, not the fat. |

For some (myself included) fewer carbs means less junk in the trunk (bodyfat). We only need to eat what is vital to support training effort and recovery.

There is a HUGE political agenda that makes a lot of money off of the low fat lifestyle in this Country and around the world. Carb based foods are not as evil as Weider, but they have been given a place of importance in the food chain that is not deserved. You don't need to make fat you're primary nutrient source, but it is not the evil to be avoided that bad science, and political agenda's have labeled it with. Just as your training should be kept simple, so should your diet. If you're hungry, eat. If your not, don't. Eat as much real food as possible, but don't worry about having some junk. Live your life, don't worry about it. No matter what you do, your still going to die one day. Here have some cake, it's delicious. |
