Default There's more than one whey? Wtf?

Only thing i know about at the current time is eat, lift, eat some more....
What the hell are they talking about different kinds of whey? I thought whey was whey.. But no, There's fast absorbing and slow absorbing and.... they take something simple and make it way to complicated... but I'm sure someone either knows about this stuff or can post a link where i can learn about it...

Whey isolate is the purest form, with very little fat and lactose. It as about 90% pure protein by weight.

Whey concentrate is about 75% pure protein. It's cheaper because the quality is lower.

A whey blend is a mixture of these two, and provides good quality at a fairly reasonable price.

Whey is fast absorbing, and is best used when you need quick protein like first thing in the morning, or during - or after a workout.

Proteins like casein are slow absorbing, and are good in between meals to "hold you over".

And then you have different types of filtrations of whey isolate as well. Ion Exchange, cold filtrated, microfiltrated, etc. Then even down to hydrolyzed whey, which is essentially whey peptides, for even faster absorption.
