Ha ha, I laugh because my mom raises chickens and insists I eat eggs daily!
Of course, I love them and would anyway. Short version: Store eggs from egg "factories" come from abused, poorly nourished chickens. THOSE eggs ARE higher in "bad" cholesterol and lower in vitamins, etc. Eggs from properly raised chickens have a balanced cholesterol profile, natural lecithin to emulsify fat/cholesterol and more vitamins than most veggies.

look at a top bb pro's diet sometime and look at the amount of eggs they eat for b-fast. Some of these guys eat like 22 eggs at a time. Some of these are just the whites, but still.

I'm no doctor, and I do not fully understand the how and why of it, but since I started lifting and watching what I eat, I introduced eggs into my diet, and my cholesterol has gone down. I am sure there are other factors involved as well ie. increased physical activity and a better overall diet, but the facts are what they are on my blood work report. So in my opinion, the answer is NO, eggs are not bad for you. My family doesn't understand it either, and they are constantly screaming at me for eating eggs, but they also dont have a problem downing a half tub of ice cream every night after dinner.

I've been eating 3-6 eggs every morning, sometimes a handful of hardboiled during the day for the past 1 1/2 years..I feel fine, and am not concerned about the "high" cholesterol..

I recommend the book Good Calories, Bad Calories. The first chapter has some good information on the political mechanisms behind the cholesterol scare.

These days I'm eating 4 eggs a day and either no yolks or 1 yolk. Of course I'm just trying to lean out. But yes yolks make you stronger
