Cooking with Protein Powders

I have read that heat destroys protein molecules. If this is true, (am not sure) is there any point in adding protein powder to recipes and dishes? Thoughts?:hungry:

I've had it curdle in hot coffee, but not sure if this was actual damage.

Since some powders are micro-filtered instead of being heat treated, it would make sense that using heat denatures them to a bigger degree; I also just read a piece which claims that heating/cooking whey protein powder means that some of the availability of the protein will be rendered useless.

According to that CBL fella, some of it is rendered useless but the majority should be fine as long as it's not kept too long.
