Let’s just jump to the ingredients… Bacon – pork, sugar, salt, spices Turkey Bacon – Turkey,mechanically separated turkey, water, sugar, salt, contains less than 2% of sodium lactate, canola oil, sodium diacetate, sodium phosphates, smoke flavor, sodium erythorbate (made from sugar), autolyzed yeast extract, sodium nitrite Hmmm….mechanically separated turkey. By golly, that sounds scrumptious. What is it?!??! “a paste-like meat product produced by forcing beef, pork or chicken bones, with attached edible meat, under high pressure through a sieve or similar device to separate the bone from the edible meat tissue.”

I recommend always choosing non-processed foods first. That is the healthiest choice. In my opinion your better off eating bacon and keeping your portions in check than you are eating frankenfoods.

What?!?
I just re-worked my diet and ADDED 3 pieces of bacon every day! My calories from fat is 47%... Everyone's different, but sugars (in excess, out of time) will usually make you fatter than fat...plus fat is essential for testosterone, satiety, vitamin absorption, joint health, etc...

While turkey bacon contains less fat and cholestrerol levels than traditional bacon, the nutrition content can still have negative effects on the body. Doctor suggests that eating meals high in fat and cholestrerol can increase your risk for heart disease. The daily nutrition recommendations and combining the turkey bacon diet with additional nutritious foods can decrease the risk for heart disease and other illnesses.
