recipes?
Anyone have any good recipes to cook large amounts of food in a short period of time, or maybe something calorically dense to cook at work?

Fatty to the rescue!
Not knowing what sort of eating scheme you use, I'll throw a few things out. Grills are a godsend, especially if you have an enormous one. I'll toss 2 dozen chicken breasts on one and chop them up and freeze them in 1 quart bags. Same goes for a crockpot. Dump 5 pounds of ground beef in, add mexican spices, and you have taco meat for a week. Now to do something with your meat. Low Carb - Chicken http://muscleandbrawn.com/forums/low...tml#post271628 Low Carb - Beef Dump cheese, salsa, sour cream over the meat. Consume with alacrity. Higher carb - Chicken Add noodles or rice. And cheese. Always add cheese Beef Add taco shells, make nachos, enchiladas, etc. |
I would suggest crockpots. We have a large oval one that we fill with either chicken or turkey breast and then eat that throughout the week on salads, in wraps, sandwiches, etc.

Great idea with the crockpot.
i have a 3 or 4 qt one. going to make taco beef tonight. that plus some shells and a couple cans of beans should make for cheap breakfasts/lunches throughout the week. |
Stews are another great thing to make. Beef stew is awesome and heats up well and you can tailor it to fit your needs.
