Default Fast meals
Anyone have any ideas what to do for fast meals on weeknights when the family is really busy and everyone is hungry when they get home, but no one wants to make a mess?

Slow cooker and have a stew cooking all day so that when you get in all you need do is eat. Many make use of a slow cooker for that reason.

Or do freezer meals. Make a bunch on weekends and then freeze then all you need to do is pop into oven when you get home.

Stuff for chef salads on hand is always nice to have. Boil up some eggs, have all your veggies chopped and everyone can make one when they need to eat.

Wraps. We keep lunch meat, with lots of cut up veggies in the fridge. Then you can make a wrap and if you have to take it with you. Fast meal that satisifies everyone.
