Nitric Oxide: I am a firm believer of this product as long as it stays in the system. What are some things that counteract the effects? Caffiene? Also, timing of morning shake with NO? ALL NO products say to take on empty stomach before breakfast. Does that mean to wait 30 minutes before I drink my whey shake that I have each morning to immediately break the fast? What about combining Powerfull with a nitric oxide supplement and.or preworkout mix? Any and all feedback is welcomed

I don't have a lot of experience with NO. I took the 2nd generation of NO2 back in the day, and liked what it did. I will say that I've had similar results and like Beta Alanine better than NO2.
I don't have any studies or hard evidence of this, but I just kinda put 2 and 2 together so take it how you will, but NO is a vasodilator and caffeine is a vasoconstrictor. So, to me, it doesn't make sense to use the two in combination. Which is the main reason I stay away from BSN products like NO-Xplode. Now, I did have a very brief discussion with a guy that said that dilation and constriction is dependent on the blood vessel. Meaning (and I am just making this up as an example since I don't remember specifics), caffeine will act as a constrictor on the blood vessels of the brain, but leave other vessels unaffected. And NO will act as a dilator in the vessels of your limbs and leave everything else alone. Idk, that's the first I've ever heard that theory. So, in general, I just don't mix the two. And when I was on NO, I did wait 30 min. before eating breakfast. |

I had been taking my pre-workout of a banana and a light protein drink one hour prior to workout, then NO XPlode 15 minutes before hitting the gym. It seemed to work OK with food in the stomach.
I've never tried an NO with a meal, but it's worth experimenting with.

When i have taken NO products I have always taken them about an hour or so before training. It worked fine for me as well with a shake in my stomach.

my training times are in the afternoon usually around 12-3, whenever I get that chance.
AC-I had the same thoughts about caffiene and NO with the dilation and constriction.(which sucks, because I like my morning coffee after my shake). However, why would most pre-workout mixes have NO in them, but also contain a stimulant

Then, toss in a heaping pile of caffeine to get you jacked out your mind, and viola! You've got a supplement "that will give you the NO pump and the energy to lift a small building." |

but doesn't the caffiene in the preworkout constrict the dilation of the NO?
