Default Camping recipes

The family is going camping for Labor day and I want to try some new recipes on the campfire. Any good recipes that you have tried that were very successful?

Pie iron sandwiches. Just butter two slices of bread and lay face down in pie iron then add ham and cheese. Cook in coals until golden brown. Awesome.

You can get these contraptions at Walmart. We use them.

Hobos. Layer sliced potatoes with hamburger and carrots, cover in cream of mushroom soup and then place in foil. Heat over fire till potatoes are tender.

Get a milking pot that milkers use and then make a soup over the fire with it. We have made veggie beef and chili in them and they work like a charm.

We make the sandwiches all the time in the fire. You can make so many different kinds and please everyone that they are well worth it.

Tortilla pizzas. Add pizza sauce, pizza toppings and cheese to a tortilla then top with another tortilla. Cook on the grill until it gets golden brown.
