Default Lactose Intolerant

I just found out I am lactose intolerant. I would like to know the nutritional differences between soy milk and cow milk. And if there are any other options for me milk wise now since I can not have it

Almond milk would be worth looking into.

Also, keep in mind that lactose is the sugar in dairy products, so you may be able to handle cheeses quite well.

I don't handle milk, but the minor amount of lactose in cheese gives me no issues.

There is ordinary milk that is lactose free as well; the milk has been treated, de-lactated or whatever it's called

Lactofree - Say yes to dairy without the lactose

That's just one link.

I've discovered within the last year that I am severely lactose intolerant. I buy LacTaid in bulk since I haven't wanted to remove dairy from my diet. I have issues with milk, cream and cheese. I take a pill with my shake and don't have any issues. Checking with my doctor in a few weeks to see if there is a once a day enzyme tablet I can take.
