Alright, so, here's my story...

I started my supplement career with all GNC brands, cuz that's all I knew. Then I discovered Optimum Nutrition and Controlled Labs. I'm not one that relies on my supplements in order to get results. I think that 90%-95% of our performance is achieved on attitude, effort, quality programming, and diet (from the solid foods we eat and buy at grocery stores).

That being said, I'm not so sure I'm getting the most out of those brands. And, I really don't keep up with supplements too much. So, here are some popular brands that I would consider taking. I know there are some out there that are complete shit and just hopped up on advertisements. Rank them and add some others I may not be aware of.

Optimum Nutrition
Controlled Labs
Gaspari Nutrition
Biotest
EAS
Muscle Tech
Prolab
Dymatize
MRI


The other reason I ask, is I'm trying to help out a supplement distribution company optimize their inventory and streamline their website. They offer far too many brands, unknown brands, and sub par products.

So, help me out and educate me!

Good topic. I'm no supplement-a-holic, but I do believe in the companies we feature on the forum. Whether or not you believe in or take prohormones, I think supplement companies that have products in that niche tend to be more forward thinking simply because the market changes so frequently.

Anyway....back on point...

Optimum Nutrition...Good. Not too much hype, and products are popular. This speaks volumes for me.

Controlled Labs...Thumbs up.

Gaspari Nutrition. Decent, but resorts to naming products in a deceiving way (novedex - sounds like nolvadex, halodrol - sounds like Hdrol) which annoys me. I don't care for deception, so I avoid Gaspari. And mumbo jumbo on their site like this annoys me as well:

Dropping in terms like "pharmaceutical grade" tells me their marketers are paid more then their researchers. Maybe, maybe not.

Biotest. I'll never use these guys. Anyone that backs a supplement only diet deserves to be avoided.

EAS. I trust anything made by EAS. I like Bill Phillips and co.

Muscle Tech. Shit in a can. Too much hype. Way too pricey.

Prolab. One of the better. They have survived decades without over-hyping.

Dymatize. A good, broad product line. Not a lot of BS. Thumbs up.

MRI. Marketing strategy + idiotic claims like: "Get 950% More Nitric Oxide!" They might have good products, but I distrust hype-machines.

LG Sciences and FOG...Good guys, low hype, nice products.

Optimum Nutrition-Hands down the best right now imo

MuscleTech-Would never waste my $$. Why overpriced

Gaspari-Only had superpump but thought it was good

Dymatize-Cheap and not bad tasting protein

EAS-Pretty Good

I also like VPX. I was addicted to Redlines their for a bit

LG Sciences-Going to give thier protein a try next time I buy

I took jac3d for about 2 months and it is an awesome product, I have used almost every pre-workout formula on the market and jac3d is probably my favorite.

A couple of my friends are also on it right now, and they all love it.

I will also add in LG Sciences. Great people, great products, great prices

Purus Labs-top notch ph's if yu can still find them. Also organ shield and recycle are topnothc pct items at good prices

ALR-I really like Jungle Warfare, CR2, & chained out

Mann Sports- very good stuff. Logging there swagger product now and soon a new creatine product for them.

VPX-I have only used meltdown but it was good for me.
