Default Which part is the best to concentrate on?

I just started lifting, and am not big at all. I was wondering if there was one body part I should concentrate on first to make that bigger so I look better. Do you suggest starting with one muscle group or is it best to work on them all at once?

No, you want to build evenly. Having one part of your body bigger than the rest will just look silly. Like having huge arms from spending days in the gym doing bicep curls, or having chicken legs from never working your quads.

I would recco working the following 3 lifts if you're a true beginner - Squats, Deadlifts, and Bench/Press. Alternate between benching and pressing each week or session that you hit the gym. That will build a solid core of muscles where it counts.

Understand this, to get big is a very long process, but if you quit you'll always be small. Work those lifts in a fairly simple program for a full year before you go about making major changes. Then you can start doing more isolated excersises for particular muscle definition.

Like rick said, try to work everything out. I still use a two day split, to this day. 1 day is all chest arms an shoulders, an 2nd day is lower body an abs.

Work the entire body, the body works in unison as one cohesive unit, and you will not regret it.

Focus on your body as a whole, like the others have already suggested. A good strategy to consider is to utilize basic movements and focus on getting strong at them.
You could start with a foundation of Squat, Bench Press, Deadlift and Overhead Press.
And maybe also consider a row variation, a vertical pulling variation, a tricep movement such as close grip bench press or lying tricep extensions and a curling movement.
Just an idea.

I am not a powerlifter nor am I a bodybuilder. I just want to be big and strong.

Concentrate on form/ technique and overall muscle development. Give this a priority, and of course nutrition. Be regular in the gym. Rest all will fall in place.

Best of luck.
