Seriously, though, statements like that just can't be thrown to the wall and expected that they will stick. Why do you believe squats aren't good for a 32 year old?

It's not a groundbeaking thread in any way, just a friendly discussion as to your thought process on priority of movements. Peary Rader had abbreviated routines that he advocated for various purposes. In one article, he said that if you can't get a full workout in, just squat. I've been thinking about that, and it makes good sense. At that time whole body training was the norm. So your on a M-W-F workout scheme, and on Wednesday you don't have time for your full routine. Just do the squats. The hormorne release of the squatting will help with the recovery of Mondays workout, and carry on the anabolic effects till Friday. Kinda like a little battery charge. |

I like the idea of full body routines, but I also like the idea of varying the exercises and or intensity level just to keep sanity.
I've never tried a full body workout using balls to the walls weights 3 days a week. But I've been curious, that's for sure. My big concern with full body workouts has been their long term impact on joints. The question I can't answer is this...is workout all the joints three times a week a good idea? Maybe it's time for me to find out.
