What do you think of this machine?
Anyone have this machine? The Inspire M3 Home Gym? I thought it looked decent but was not going to drop the cash on it unless I get some good solid reviews on it.

It's over 3 grand and only has one review. You could make a pretty nice home gym for that cost. |
You would be better off with a barbell and 300 pounds of olympic weights, keep things simple. No need to spend 3k for something like that

Gold's Gym Olympic Bench - Walmart.com --- $147.00
CAP Barbell 7' Olympic Steel Weight Lifting Bar - Walmart.com --- $69 300 pounds in weights would run you about $300 bucks. That adds up to less than $1,000 for a home gym if you have the space. You could always do dips at the kitchen sink and you could do pullups with a $20 Iron Gym. |
For much more inexpensive you could get a nice rack, bench, bar and weight. Not to mention you could probably add some accessories (dip/pull up station, ez curl bar, adjustable dumbells, etc) and still easily come in under 3 large.

Send me three grand and I'll make you what ever you want. Seriously, I built my own rack out of 4x4s and pipe. Maybe one hundred dollars.

Agree with the other posters, in addition, once something goes haywire with a multi-gym, as shown above, you've pretty much lost it all; at least with a barbell, it generally cannot "go wrong" so is always useable.

Seriously, I think a barbell is a better buy! |
