Natural vs. IFBB Bodybuilding
 

I found this interesting so I thought I would share...

Top natural bodybuilder Shaun Clarida, a highly decorated natural with amazing aesthetics and conditioning, did not make the top 15 at last night's NPC Nationals in Miami.

What was the rest of the line up like?

You reckon he should have made the cut?

I have no pictures yet. From all accounts it was a fair judging. He did use Dream Tan which the NPC doesn't care much for, but I can't see that bumping him from 7th to 16th.

I think the size valley was just too much.

is dream tan what made him look like an Oscar?

A lot of bodybuilders and pro athletes claim that they are all natural, and still we all know that's not true.
My point is that, just because some guy claims to be 100% natty, this doesn't been that he is ...

Perhaps. No-one here is naive enough to discount these things.

But... if you are going to throw around slurs you should at least have some semblance of proof. As far as I know Clarida has been tested consistently and is in no way too big to be a natural. Assuming you know Clarida's statistics, height, weight etc and you know enough about natural bodybuilding to actually have a valid opinion here you would know there is nothing un-natural about his size or weight.

and the point of the thread was almost to the opposite: he looks good for how poorly he placed.

he wouldn't have placed poorly if he was using steroids, he wouldn't have been allowed to compete.

I don't know when he went NPC but he was WNBF so I beleive he is 100% Natural.

NPC don't test. Thats why I will never do a NPC show or try for a IFBB W/C Pro card. I will retire first.

NPC and IFBB shows are back by Pro Tan. I have no idea why they like the swetty runny look. Does nothing but look like pure conditioning to me.
