Please note that I took Casey Butt's original formula of: ![]() ...and inserted 7.5" wrists and 9.5" ankles to create this formula: H^1.5 (0.318194186) So, the following potential bodyweights at 12% bodyfat are for large boned individuals. Height, 66 inches = 12% bodyfat weight of 193.8 pounds Height, 67 inches = 12% bodyfat weight of 198.3 pounds Height, 68 inches = 12% bodyfat weight of 202.8 pounds Height, 69 inches = 12% bodyfat weight of 207.2 pounds Height, 70 inches = 12% bodyfat weight of 211.8 pounds Height, 71 inches = 12% bodyfat weight of 216.3 pounds Height, 72 inches = 12% bodyfat weight of 220.9 pounds Height, 73 inches = 12% bodyfat weight of 225.5 pounds Height, 74 inches = 12% bodyfat weight of 230.2 pounds Height, 75 inches = 12% bodyfat weight of 234.9 pounds Height, 76 inches = 12% bodyfat weight of 239.6 pounds

Even at tiny bone structure (6.5" and 8") at my height this gives 193.4 lbs. Dang! There's a lot of hope for me yet

I found the LBM difference between 6% bodyfat and 12% bodyfat to be around 4 pounds using Casey's formula, if anyone is interest.

I was having a conversation with one of the SMWA team today on this very subject. People just don't want to believe there are limits on natural muscle growth.
But to the discerning few, who know what 12% body fat actually looks like when built, these figures are quite generous. For my height (75 inches... let's pretend it still is) a weight of 106.5 kgs at 12% is HUGE - and a full 12.5 kgs (27.5 lbs) MORE than I reached back in the day, after 2.5 years training and at a comparable body fat % I'd be very, very happy to be walking around at 105+ kgs on that body fat %.

Being 5'10", I would love to be 12% bodyfat at 21 pounds.
One of the interesting points about this to me is that most 5'10" lifters on forums want to be 12% bodyfat and built, but rarely allow their weight to creep up above 180 before they do a cut. It is what it is...not making a statement, but rather an observation. Train more harderererer.

So I would need to drop nearly 50lbs to hit 12% bodyfat... That will never happen, unless I starve myself and stop eating for 3 months. I think I prefer to be softer, albeit stronger.
I'd be happy if I hit <19%...
