Should a woman do higher reps?
Should a woman do higher reps?
Watcha think? |
how long is a piece of string?
|
I'm assuming you mean higher reps than a man who has the same goals.
Answer is no. |
Relative to goals, the same "principles" that apply to men also apply to women.
|
Women should lift no different than men. PERIOD.
|
All of the above :) But to add to that, there was a lifter/trainer a few years back state that women's muscle fibres react slightly differently to those of a man and so we should be doing 1 rep more and 1 set more than what the male counterpart is doing.
However, I never do, I just do what I do, it seems to work. :march: |
Men can't even find consensus about what consitutes a good set/rep scheme. I don't see women being any different.
|
^Agree, we just need to select the right weight for the right rep scheme, that's all, just like a man does.

Don't know how many times I've heard that in response to the recommendation of a 5x5... |
Is it ok to use 10-12 reps for sets if I try to push myself for more when I can??
