Where do you think the best place to grip for OHP is?

Wherever is comfortable to you, doesn't cause injury, and allows you to move the most weight or crank out the most reps.

For me, it's pretty narrow.

Personally I like gripping a few inches outside shoulder width, but experiment a little bit and see what works for you.

Here's what Rippetoe recommends:

In theory, it should be at the point which permits the forearms to be vertical.

That's my starting point when helping others learn form. For front pressing the grip is more narrow. BTN pressing it is wider.

im normally about 6 inches wider than shoulder width, but slightly in from that for front and slightly wider if anything for BHTN.

Carl.

I go with bascially the width that rippetoe teaches. It works well for myself.
If I were to describe it, it would be my thumbs just outside shoulder width. A lot of guys in the gym tend to go uber wide think it 'hits' the shoulders better. I personally don't think there is much truth to this and I think it puts you at risk for injury.
Just my opinion.

I am not a powerlifter nor am I a bodybuilder. I just want to be big and strong.

Yep.

Whatever's comfortable, that usually involves forearms vertical.

A grip at or within 1 1/2 inches outside of shoulder width usually works best for most people. For behind the neck with bar starting on traps, 2-4 inches outside shoulders is usually a good place to start.

Beyond general purpose, anything can really work as long as it is a pain free/comfortable position.
