Hey.. Bendthebar, sorry last thing bro.. Is it too much bicep and tricep work tho? since they are small muscles? if i just changed the above routine and did just one bicep or tricep for that training day would i be ok?

I personally think that the Simple Power Based routine is already enough work. Adding more without reason or not knowing how it will effect you is not a smart course of action. ALWAYS make changes slowly. Run the routine as-is for three to six months before messing around with it.

Because people have the attention span of three year olds...always looking for that one routine that will magically transform them into the next great lifter.

The only changes you should be making are the ones that you HAVE to make because of stalls, injuries, advancement, or mechanics.

For me, I have a set number of exercises that I know are useful for me. A few of these exercises are my focus exercises Squat/Bench/Deadlift and a few of them are exercises I know improve the focus exercises. I know this because I have recorded results etc from my logbooks. So I can see from my own evidence that they have improved my focus lifts.

From that selection I arrange the exercises so they don't interfere too much with each other and the focus lifts are given special attention. This mostly comes down again to my logbook and from recording what has worked in the past.

You see arranging stuff this way, that is using your own logbook and personal experience as a guide, allows you to make your own routines which are personalised for you. Each training cycle you can take stock of what you have achieved and add it to the body of 'research' you have on yourself. Rather than jumping around from routine-to-routine and learning nothing.

'Teach a man to fish' and all that.
