He maintained great shape.

He is also a great guy. Very down to Earth. It's a shame more people don't know about him and his writings.

I have four of his books, excellent stuff. He weighs in every morning, or he did, and made minor adjustments daily taking into account any higher sodium meals due to birthdays and such; that's dedication.

The weird thing is that Bass never looked as 'good' as some of the others (Arnold for example) and so people kind of ignored him. Most guys are just to enamoured with freaky size. Now at 70 years old, Bass puts them all to shame.

In the book Rip Up! it states that Clarence Bass coined the phrase "ripped", how accurate that is, I've no idea but he certainly epitomises the term.
