Default Slow Bulk

The phrase "slow bulk" scares me.

When I read that in the log of a novice my back twitches and I get all itchy.

I read "slow bulk" as meaning:

Quote:
I am 5'10" 140, want abs, and am going to eat only chicken breasts and rice for a total of 2000 calories each day, based on a BMI calculator.

"Slow bulk" just means there'll be more food for everyone else

A slow bulk to me means that person is likely to stop the moment they can't see all 6 abzors.

Permabulk is the way forward.

I just noticed the edit of the 2200 calorie at 5' 10" and 140...LOL I kow what you mean though, the calories are way underestimated at times, I reckon I plough through a lot more than that and lose weight when in "severe" training mode and am only just over 5 foot and female...pre-HP (Harry Potter) film, I had a 6oz homemade-style burger, buns, loads of fries, and coleslaw with salad (yep, more slaw than salad)...and cola and enjoyed every mouthful...then had snacks during the film, some few minutes later

Glwanabe and I have been talking about putting together an eating plan that involves 3-4 sentences.

Probably wouldn't be a bad idea, it's definitely needed...people seem to need to be constantly reminded of simplicity, it works, it's easy to follow and little to no enthusiasm gets lost along the way, not to mention that food does not become a chore that way.

That's the primary goal...to keep it simple. I also don't want to see novices turn OCD when it really isn't needed. They see the contest diet precision of bodybuilders, and all these other diet articles on the Internet, and believe they need to count everything or else they will fail.

I firmly believe that this is a waste of time for recreational lifters. Sure, they need some guidelines, but not to the point where they obsess about 31.23452345 grams of protein every 2.52345623452345 hours, or 32.2345342 grams every 2.623562345 hours.
