You know what else? When a top named athlete says "I am not using heavy weight" he doesn't mean he's being a pussy. He means he is doing 315x10 on bench instead of singles on 405. He's not giving you a license to be a weak SOB.

Great point and it needed to be said. I see this often. I will be sitting with a pro bodybuilder, and they will say something like:

"You don't need to go crazy with the heavy weight. Take care of yourself."

...and then they will squat 405 for reps at a bodyweight of 180.

What they are really saying is that you don't need to ram up to max singles and triples every week, or something along these lines. They aren't telling you not to train heavy, they are telling you not to train at 90% plus weight each week.
