one of my favorite excuses recently now that i've been asked quite frequently about personal training some women is............

"do i need to use the free weights.........i don't want to get huge muscles or anything."

Yes, but in a different way, they want to get rid of the fat/flab, but there usually isn't any noticeable fat there when you see their pictures. It's more a must have flat stomach...which you'd only achieve by removing their intestines and they still wouldn't be content.

Well the major challenge is that they don't have the same goals as a bodybuilder. Most of them just want a six pack and big arms.

I have to step back and not push them to squat. Can't fit a square peg into a round hole...

Sad thing is, I have neither. My arms are 15.5 at best and my chest (measured around my shoulders) is only 48. I wish that they would understand that a great way to reach their goals is to train their whole body
