Welcome to the forum.
Building muscle is not easy. But there are easier ways to do it than the complicated programs in magazines. There is no reason to live in the gym. More volume does not equal more muscle. Naturals should be in and out of the gym in about an hour, I personally stick to this because more feels like too much to me. Bust it on basic compound movements (bench, deadlifts, OHP, and squats) and then leave. As far as food. You have to have a surplus of calories. You need to get these from a god combination of protein fats and carbs. The other guys are better with diet than I am so I will let them help you with that. The basic formula for muscle: East big, Lift big, Sleep, and Repeat. You gotta bust it to see results you want. We all want to help you succeed in your goals.

you should check out Muscle and Brawns workout routines. there are a whole bunch in the database that call for only 3-4 days

1, Drink a Gallon of wholemilk with 100 grams of protein powder added to it every day + your normal meals.
2, Squat, push and pull your ass of 3 times a week, and add weight or reps every week. 3, GROW! *Also check out the muscle and brown database on old time lifters and their routines and lots of other basic good-to-know reading!
