You have to rest minimun 72 hours before working the same muscle again
Keep your workout time to 45-50 minutes a day, and 4 days a week maximum

low reps dont build muscles

This is one I see quite often. When outlining workouts for a bodypart, a trainer will generally recommend something like:

--Beginner - 2 exercises
--Intermediate - 3 exercises
--Advanced - 4-5 exercises

this goes back to something I said yesterday.

There is no real thought process behind this, just a recipe that throws crap at a wall and hoping it sticks. Makes my brain hurt to think about it.

The addition exercises are often more isolation work, at least in the materials I've seen using this structure. On the other hand, the beginner workouts are often "bodybuilding-lite".

I think a 4th class needs to be kept in this equation:

--Rank Beginner
--Beginner
--Intermediate
--Advanced

...with a rank beginner being someone who has no clue about form, lifting or eating. Etc.

Standard deadlifting should be avoided at all costs.

You have to get a pump for a muscle to grow.
