All I know is that the only big bodybuilder in the last 20 years who trained liek this was also injured nearly every ****ing year. I respect Dorian Yates but the guy was always injured. Watch his interviews on his video.

I guess it's all how you lift. Dorian Yates did warmup sets that ramped weight, but he still used normal rep ranges.
I can't see how it would work for a beginner though unless it was 3 days a week fullbody. Beginners don't have a heck of a lot of CNS issues, correct?

there is a saying.
you train to failure you will fail. Even though Dorian Yates was sooo strong and used some insane weights. He did however train to failure and that did cause some serious muscle and joint damage over the years. I believe is what is called good failure. No you limits and stop one rep shy of good failure. Training your to failure trains you to fail every time. physically and mentally. |
