I always listen to the body when it comes to changing up my w/o's. Variation is the key i believe! Variating rep-range from week to week, and also exercises, works for the moment. Been thinking about going higher in the rep (now im in the 4-6 range) and maybe give the german volume training approach a try for a period of time, just to mix things up further =) I think people need to think out side the box when it comes to lifting, and dont be afraid to experiment and find what really works for you.

I always keep the heavy compounds. But I do different supporting movements every week. I don't always keep track of it but it seems like I have a rotation of exercises that I use because I know what works for me. I am always up for trying something new in my workouts, but nothing can replace the heavy compounds.

I've changed things several times alrite, I'm gonna write a training log and in it I'm gonna address such issues. I think it will be educational not only for when I look back... but for people like me who made mistakes of changing programs several times and not sticking it. I think I finally found what I like and come measurement day (4weeks) I'm 100% sure I will see a difference! I do believe heavy weights are key, heavy to yourself. Just because someone can squat 200kg doesn't mean you have to, be happy if you can squat 50kg as long as you try aim higher in future, maybe an extra 1-2kg per workout or rep changes, it all causes the shock, and that's what we must aim for. If it's heavy for you, don't give a damn what everyone else thinks, because in 1 year you are gonna look back and go WOAH I have seriously upped my strength and I'm freaking starting to look huge! haha

As far as I'm concerned adding weight is changing your routine. So your routine should be changing until you hit natural limits of strength.
As far as muscle confusion goes, it's BS. Lift heavier weights. That is all. |

The main thing to remember is that most routines are solid. The key is resistance and persistence, eating right and not trying to do too much.

I hear that, I wasn't given advice at all till I read for myself and asked questions. Get a shake or coffee and check out my story in my training log ha, oh its a doozey :O Also I'm taking your advice with my new workout and I'll be tweaking it over the week. Time for me to get stronger and bigger.
