That doesn't mean i'm without a little vanity, and my chest is the bodypart that is lagging behind. My best Flat Bench is 220x3 and from what I've heard it's not the best chest exercise. It's mostly my inner chest that I want to bring up. Does anyone have a suggestion of some exercises I can use to target it and bring it up? That would be awesome because it's starting to annoy me. Thanks. |

Personally, I'm a big fan of standing press. If it's not in your routine already, it can always be worked in- it's a great shoulders exercise, and on more that one occasion I've had DOMS in my chest from performing it.

First off what does your normal chest day look like? (movements/#ofsets/rep ranges)
Quick tips: -dumbbell bench work. I like incline dumbbell presses for shaping upper/inner chest, make sure to fully contract your pecs at the top of the movement. -flys(dumbbells,cables,pecdec machine,whatever); An easy one to do wrong, make sure you inhale and puff your chest out and again feel the contraction and squeeze hard at the top of the movement

Hey thanks for the replies. Yeah I do have standing overhead press in my routine. I get a bit of DOMS in the top of my chest but not much.
On chest day I usually do 5x5 and sometimes end with a heavy triple. Then i'll throw in a few sets of weighted push ups. I will look into flyes I never thought of that, cheers. It also probably couldn't hurt to do some dumbbell work. |
