I'd prolly go with close grip bench long before bench dips. Bench dips really put your shoulder at a bad angle and not wanting to damage my shoulders have a hard enough time with them lately. Thanks for the suggestions.

Also, if you have a foam roller, do your cgbp off of that. The shortened range of motion gives the shoulders a break and allows you to use more weight.
