Series - Top 5 Quad Building Mistakes
I'm starting a series on the biggest bodybuilding mistakes.
I want you opinion...what are the Top 5 Quad Building Mistakes? |
I'll be the first to say that 1-5 biggest mistakes are not squatting. I'm trying to squat with three bad disk. I think that is statment enough.
|
I was going to start with squats, but I figure I'd let it float for a post :)

Doing cardio.

It is a mistake to spend more time/effort doing leg extensions than some form of squatting.
|
Thumbs up. Keep them coming.

Personally, I have no problem with leg extentions and curls as long as people are doing the bread and butter exercises as well. By bread and butter I mean some form of squat and/or leg press. Wish I could be more original with my mistake idea, but focusing on the "finishing" moves before you have the mass to sculpt is a dreadful mistake.

1. Not training legs
2. Too many isolation exercises in their routine, not enough compounds 3. Diet 4. Improper form, just jumping into exercises without guidance / understanding i.e. deadlift form 5. Progressing too much too soon and doing yourself an injury - Leave your ego at the door. |
1. form
2. thinking that leg presses compare to the squat 3. only doing extensions and curls 4. not mixing the reps 5. form |
