I just read this comment on a thread this morning. Sneezing Stardust brought it up yesterday: "Do Omega 3's turn to Omega 6's when heated?"

Not sure if this can even be classified as bro science...it's just straight-up stupidity:
"A calorie is a measure of energy. Heat = energy. Therefore, by putting your foods in the fridge for an amount of time before eating them, you are lessening the caloric value, which is a great option for dieters." |

Those are good ones.... not sure if this is BroScience, or BS...but what about your body can only handle a certain % of your weight in grams of protein at one time?...

Some of my favorite bro science comes from the health community, such as...
Eating cholesterol raises your cholesterol.

Oh man, I used to work with a guy who lived on cholesterol health. He didn't care about macros or nutrition stuff, just cholesterol. It was so funny...he really thought that by eating as many eggs as I do I was asking for trouble... He once told me eating 1 egg, can raise my cholesterol levels 5-10 points..

hahaha..that's a classic. The only thing drinking too much water can do is kill you...and that's if you drink multiple gallons, refuse to pee and have an internal breach causing mass toxicity. Yeah, sounds crazy..but it happened. Some lady was in a contest to "Hold your wee, for a Wii"...She came in 2nd, then died.

I used to believe that the body created new fat cells and never lost them.

The body is such an amazing machine. The code and chemicals required for the body to know and do this astounds me.
