Workout- focus on progression, keep it basic and work hard as hell. use the big compound exercises. always strive to put more on the bar. BIG 5- the 5 exercises every skinny kid needs a serving of Squat Deadlift Bench press Bent over row Military press you can drop every other exercise and use just these and i gurantee you will be bigger and stronger than anyone who uses the muscle and fiction routines

I would add this...nearly each day I run into the following quote: "I don't think I can eat that much lol!"
If you want to gain muscle mass, you must be dedicated to the process. Without dedication, you are bound to fail. Those that succeed don't say things like, "I don't think I can..." Those that succeed say things like, "I will find a way." I can't stress enough...it is more important to be dedicated and passionate. These qualities determine success more than anything else.

Write all you goals on a piece of paper, start a training log, if you are really serious a food log. Invest in a camera and do monthly updates(progress pics, big lifts,etc...) Pick a solid training routine relevant to your goals and stick it out until you reach them.
So many newbs want to get big and the minute they put on 5lbs and their sickly rib-cages have an extra ounce of fat they want to "CUT" when they have no damn physique to begin with. Pick a plan and stick to it, devote yourself to it. If you are gaining some fat, up the cardio. Keep things simple, and don't be a drama queen. If you document everything you can figure out where you went wrong and where you went right, if your always switching up excercises you will never know what works and what doesn't. |

i wish this would have been my thought process in my early years. instead i got a perscription to mens health and tried to follow every chicken rice and bean diet they would put in there. mistake!mistake!mistake! i wish i would have only had half the knowledge i do know and the patience to go with it. i could have been so much farther ahead at this stage.
