is this a good workout?
Is this a good workout for a beginner?
GPDT - Grim's Power Density Training If not what can I do to get as big and strong as fast as possible? I'm tired of being scrawny. Right now I weight 128 and I am 5 foot 8. |
It is a very simple program, if you eat more you will cease to be scrawny and get bigger. If you push yourself and work hard you will get stronger. Can never go wrong with the basics.
|
Stick to the basics man, eat big, train big, sleep big. And you will get big. Stick to basic compound movements and you will grow fast.
Progression has to be key too, try to add more weight every workout. Any basic program will do, MAB's main site has a ton of beginner workouts to suite anyone's needs. Stick to the basics and work hard. |

i just now am majorly changing from this program |
i like it, i would add one thing to this though and i think alot of people don't do this but it can add alot of overall power and strength to the body, that being the clean-n-press.

Great advice. I know I have to eat more. Do you guys think it would be possible for me to get to 160 or 170 pounds by the end of the year?

IMO the hardest part for a beginner lifter is being paitent. You're not going to be outlifting everyone at your gym in a month and that's when most kids give up. Judge on how you're improving not how you look compared to others remember results come with time. Keep setting goals and work your ass out to reach them.
