With that in mind, be honest with yourself. Do you really not feel the need to rest? Or are you working so hard to try and speed up the process? Do you ignore sore joints or force yourself to workout? I'm guessing you're young and starting out. Your weights are probably pretty light, so it's maybe not too hard to recover right now. You're making progress, etc. That won't last though. You'll hit the wall at some point. Studies show working out less is as good if not better than working out more, and there are no shortcuts. Getting strong takes time for everybody.

Oh yeah, go watch one if you interested in doing meet one day. I don't know how big you are, but you'll definitly see people who bench less than you do.
![]() You'll never be "strong" enough, so don't wait for that. Somewhere in the next year or so just take the plunge and see what happens.

bit vauge, do you mean no rest day atall?
Generally People say If you feel you don't need a rest day then don't have one. On the contrary though, know when your body cant take anymore. You might feel like pushing further, but doing so might not be a god idea. |

Rest Is always key I would make sure you have days off for rest that's when your going to get the most growth. You may not be over training now but it might get to the point where you are and your gains will stop or you may even get injured if you where to really push it.

Take a few rest days a week. Doesn't mean sit around all day and be lazy, but don't lift on those days.

WTF? You have a 4 day split, so you have 3 rest days/week. Maybe move your days so there is a day between, but with your split I see no reason. Just eat alot and go for it. You're making gains, keep it that way.

Simple answer: Yes, you need rest days.
