Laid back atmosphere. Power racks and squat racks. Dumbells up to at least 120lb. Weights seperate from cardio area so people won't wine if I'm a little loud when I have 3x their bodyweight in my freaking hands.
Just the usual stuff.

Location is important. A gym close to home or work makes things easier. Also, a gym that has multiple locations in town is nice.
Proper amount of dumbells and weight equipment is important.

If a gym doesn't have at least 4-6 power racks, a couple of squat racks, enough barbells, enough plates and if it doesn't let me deadlift then I don't care if that gym offers me free massages in places where my girlfriend would not allow it or other free stuff I will not go to it.

Also 1. Several good power racks 2. Deadlift platforms 3. Solid bars with good knurling 4. Proper sized plates 5. Benches that are regulation height
