Steroid Era vs. Pre-Steroid Era Bodybuilding and Strength Training
What do you consider the primary differences between steroid, and pre-steroid era training?
I'll start with the obvious... Steroid Era = Splits Pre-Steroid Era = Full body routines |
Just a quick thought on it:
Recovery time is way different especially for older guys. So that dictates your routine. |
pre- steroids= focusing on the basics, and the biggest bang for your buck, and used less isolations
steroids= flipped the above on its head pre-steroids= the physiques achieved were more like a greek sculpture steroids= Welcome everybody to the freak show pre-steroids= eat 3 meals a day, with a few snacks in between to up calories when bulking, or without the snacks when cutting steroids= take this supplement to get hyooge, take this one to get rypped, and this one for fun ;) |
Pre-steroid = common sense eating
Steroid = OCD over grams |

Roid era --> lower frequency, higher volume per session for a given muscle group
Pre-roid --> higher frequency (2-3x week), low to moderate volume per session for a given muscle group. |

steroids= i'd be depressed for looking like a monster its impressive as big as they are, but it just looks "un-natural" and, well, it is ;) |
