Far out, as a new-bee to this fine establishment, I feel that ranter should come out and explain him or her self. Nothing has busted my balls like a full body workout before. Try it back to back and see if you can get out of bed the next day. I did and I was wrecked. Three days is heaps.

I think we've missed the obvious gauntlet toss here. What we need is a true competition. Not a debate, as he seems quite set in his belief. A test. If he believes so strongly that he knows better, lets do a fair comparison of what his ideas have produced against the product of what he believes to be so false. Do we have the height/weight of said ranter?

I always go out of my way to tell guys they can gain on pretty much anything. I made most of my gains on splits.

With that said, research hints that more frequent sessions might be more beneficial, so the question becomes...why not try them?

I would just invite the kid to start lifting.

Once a week per bodypart, three times a week, whatever. Just start lifting. A shit routine done regularly with enthusiasm trumps sitting at home at your keyboard jerking off to midget scat porn.

Yup, that sums it up.

I've said it many times, my advice is just an educated opinion. At the end of the day I don't care what anyone does, as long as they do something.

Gimme a couple months and a couple shirt sizes and I will show this guy what fullbody does.

Also, who said everyone wants to look like a competition-shape bodybuilder? Some people just wanna be big.

Sounds like someone who needs v his/her (almost certainly his) existing half-ass training regime validated. Since when did 3 fullbody sessions a week become too much? Obviously, when you're close to PR territory or else you feel shitty, you'll need to watch the intensity, otherwise have at it.

It isn't Ian McCarthy is it?
