I know this is heresy to some,but he looked better in the "before"

I was trying to figure out if the top image was the after pic because he definitely looks at his best in that, even if he didn't have the extreme comp cut thing happening he would still have looked better than in the second image; IMO.

Nope. I think Daniel had one of the best natural physiques in the history of the sport.

The second pic is current at a weight of 255.

The original was at about 5'8", 170.

So, did he swap from BB to PL or is this the next bulk stage ready for a cut...? Or did he just decide not to pursue BB any longer?

No he's still doing bodybuilding.

Oh I see,the stage picture is the before. Now that I look closer you are right. How about I say "he looks better at 255"

Basically, the second pic could be considered as a transition phase to a larger him then, even more meat on the bones after the cut.
