Default Help me

I have no idea what I am doing. I just know that I need help getting in shape. What are some things I can do to get my butt off the couch and get moving? How long should I work out to start with? I am really out of shape, and know that I can not do a lot to begin with. Would it be ok to start with small workouts that were only 15 minutes long?

Start slow and make exercise a daily habit. Too many people start full of enthusiasm only to burn out in a few weeks. Try taking a 20 minute walk one day, and then do some body squats, pushups, and situps the next day. Alternate back and forth between walking one day and exercising the next. Stick with it for at least three weeks to make it a habit. After that, the sky is the limit; just start adding more complicated exercises as you go along until your routine looks more similar to those posted on this forum. Good luck.
