I don't know of what would be the most injurious, but I can say that I've only once had a back injury from deadlifts. That was from a meet last October. I got too excited on my last attempt and started the bar too far away, that and a refusal to give up til I knew it was impossible caused me to have pain for a week. That was it. I've hurt my back two other times though causing similar pains for about a week...and that was leg pressing. Maybe it's just how that certain machine was built, but I am almost certain leg pressing is harder on your back than squats and deadlifts. (Or maybe my leg press form sucks.)
