Default Cheap equipment
I am just starting to lift and have not found a gym yet to work out in that I really like. What is some good equipment for me to invest in that would not break the bank?

Adjustable dumbbells
A selection of plates (you can buy two at a time every month or so and slowly build them up)


Or find a cheap Craigslist deal etc.

Craigslist, yard sales and Play it again Sports are all good sources. If you live in an area near a military base, start watching when orders go out. I have not paid retail for any of my equipment.
