Most Starr routines aren't too much different from Starting Strength. Are you looking at Madcow's intermediate or a specific Starr routine?
To be honest, if you're making good progress and you consider your form to be good, either program is going to serve you well. The question is mainly a personal one you have to answer - do you want to push the lifts each week, or periodize and push them using a staggered method? In most cases I am a far of pushing for straight progression and only periodizing when things slow. At the end of the day though, your hard work and persistence will get you to the end goal no matter which if these you choose. Just out of curiosity, where are your big lifts right now?
