Bodybuilding - creating an illusion
While I rarely (if ever) post in the bodybuilding . com website, I do follow a few contest prep journals to see how some of the pros train. One of the journals I follow is that of Robbie Sardinia.
It is just amazing how getting ripped creates a visual appeal of size. Here's links to Sardinia's posts in his journal. This is how a shredded pro looks weighing "only" 184 lbs at 6'2". It's a damn illusion. 1. It's time to stand next to the big boys...My 2012 Prep Journal - Page 16 - Bodybuilding.com Forums 2. I think his weight would scale to about 5'10", 168. Usually it's about a 4-5 pound drop off per inch.
That kind of puts it in perspective for us shorter guys. Dropping 15 pounds of fat and adding 15 pounds of muscle makes a world of difference. I can't tell you how many guys I've seen add 15 pounds of muscle that I've told: "You're ready to compete." They usually laugh because they think they aren't big enough. |
This thread really helped things hit home. I'm assuming he's not at his natural potential?

So, to answer your question, I am guessing "no". he isnt at his natural potential. Impressive though he is, he can, and I am sure he will, improve and bring a better package to the stage in years to come. |
fat and a semi tight shirt create the illusion of being big. :)
