Hypertrophy training is a generic term for any training designed to increase the size of your muscles.

Hypertrophy training digs deep into the tissue to create density of the muscle making it larger and store more energy. Like said, a modern age fancy way for naming a rep range of work with the science evidence backing it. If your going for true bodybuilding you will care and learn about it. If your just lifting for personal gains or P/Ling, 90% chance you won't give a crap about it. Just the way it is. No bashing or anything intended.
